Can it be done

I take a step back. My body was shaking, and the fact that I was afraid amplified that. I wanted to leave from here. Nothing seemed right. This wasn't how it was suppose to be. This couldn't be the Honoo and Inazumi that I once knew. They began to laugh. Honoo jumped down from the huge tombstone and approached me slowly, menacingly.
Aww what the matter. Baby scared. You need somebody to hold your hand for you.

I growled as I tried to stand my ground. This version of Honoo seemed more menacing and stronger. He began to laugh as he placed a hand on my shoulder. I try to leave his grasp, but it was like trying to bend iron. He tightened his grip and I felt my shoulder burn. He cackled at my pathetic efforts as my face scrunched up in pain.
Scared of the flames Itami. Pathetic. Just pathetic.

I cringed not just from the burn, but from the words. Here were the 2 people that I used to be the closest to. I knew them and they knew me, but now it was like they were 2 totally different beings. Nothing seemed the same anymore. Suddenly Inazumi appeared beside me. He removed Honoo hand and I thought the worst was over, that they had, or at least Inazumi had, returned to their sensed, but that was not to be.

Suddenly I saw myself flying forward toward the huge tomb. I landed against and through it. Rubble and debri fell down upon me as I tried to regain my senses of what had just happened. I coughed as my breath came in ragged gasps. Honoo and Inazumi appeared before me. My sight was a blur and my mind in a daze.
Wha..What just happened?

They both growled as they looked down upon me. Honoo slowly brought his hand down upon me, grabbing me by my neck and lifting me into the air. I struggled against his grasp, scratching, biting, kicking, trying anything to get him to let go. He just laughed as though I was an annoying kid trying to run away from a long time punishment.
Now the fun begins.
With those words, I was thrown away from them. I flew across the graveyard, unable to stop myself as I began to crash and slide through the ground.

I grimace as I crash through a tomb. It was much smaller than the one with my name on it, but the pain was all the same. I finally stopped, and yet a weird feeling had overcame me. As I coughed up some blood, a black energy began to envelop me. I felt stronger than before. The pain was still there, but more tolerable. I began to stand up, my head spinning from multiple things ranging from the events taking place and my little trip through the graveyard.

I slowly began to stand up, the black rei surrounding me now becoming outlined in a blood red. I was almost to my feet when I felt a sharp pain starting at my chin and then flowing throughout my entire body. I was knocked straight up from the attack, flames encircling me, eating away at my clothes and burning my skin. I screamed in pain as I tried to regain control, but the momentum from the attack had momentarily stunned me.

*This isn't going so well. I have to do something or I'll end up in that grave.* I tried to twist in the air, but I felt my leg being grabbed and twisted about. I cried out and fought against it, but to no avail. Flames crawled up my leg and burned away the clothing there. I winced from the pain, but let no other emotion show. I wanted to be tough like I used to be. I twirled and sent my other leg forward, kicking Honoo in the jaw. This stunned him long enough for me to escape his grasp, although then I began to fall to the ground.

I growled as I tried to correct myself, but then a punch to the gut knocked all breath from my lungs. Spit flew from my mouth as I was hurled away, flipping from the force of the hit. Sparks flew around Inazumi as he then charged forward, appearing above me and sending his foot directly onto my chest at just the right moment. I was forced down, and landed on top of another grave that crumbled from the impact. Once again black energy surged forth and enveloped me. The energy became outlined in red before disappearing in my body.

I felt my strength returning to me as the energy disappeared. I stood, hesitantly at first as I remembered what happened last time.
So scared. You're not like you used to be. Fear has taken a hold upon you Itami. We must wipe out any weakness. Including you.
Inazumi's voice seemed to come from behind. I turned intending for him to be there, but then felt myself thrown to the side. He appeared before me as stopped me with his hand. He positioned it so that he held my neck, gripping it tightly.

He lifted me into the air, my feet dangling, trying to find some kind of solid ground but failing. I struggled against his tight grip, but to no avail.
So scared. You've become soft and afraid Itami. I'm disappointed. I thought you were stronger than this. I thought you were better but I was wrong. You've let fear grip your life and it has shown here. You couldn't even defend yourself against us. You know longer know us Itami. It is time we became free from you. Free from this wretched place. It is time you died.
At the last words, Honoo appeared beside Inazumi. I heard the words, and realized that Inazumi was right. I had become afraid and it made me weak. I put my head down, and said not a word.
Look at you. Lets kill him now Honoo. I'm ready to be freed from this place and wreck havoc upon the outside world.

I lift my head to stare into both their eyes. I glare at them, no struggling or anything. Inazumi stares back, and it seems as though there is something in his eyes that represent pity. He looks away and tosses me to the ground, but with enough force to cause a small crater. Honoo growled and pushed Inazumi angrily.
What the fuck do you think you're doing you fool? Kill him now. I want to leave NOW!
Inazumi moved not a step as he swiftly sent a kick into Honoo stomach, bringing the angry spirit to his knees as his breath was lost.
Honoo wouldn't it be more fun to give Itami a chance, but to also make this more of a challenge and to give us a bit more time with him before he dies?

I try to crawl back. I needed to hide someplace so that I could regain my thoughts and figure out what to do. Something was wrong, I knew that much, but I needed a plan to combat this conflict. I thought that by moving slowly while they were distracted that I'd be able to make a clean get away, but that was not to be. Honoo came forward and grabbed my ankle, twisting it in his iron grip and letting his flames encircle my leg, edging closer and closer in a teasing and yet more threatening way. I could feel the heat against my bare skin and cringed, trying to get away, but there was no breaking that grip and intense, malicious gaze that was present in Honoo's eyes.
Where do you think you're going runt. It's time we taught you a lesson. Even if you somehow managed to regain our power, you will most surely think twice before losing them again after the beating we will be giving you.

My face shows the fear that I was feeling at that moment. I kicked and tried getting away, the burning on my leg increasing and the smell of sizzling meat heavy. I screamed in pain and felt myself giving away to the hurt that I was feeling both physically and mentally. Honoo cackled at my failed efforts and the reactions that I was making. I knew that I was giving him exactly what he wanted, but I couldn't help it. I felt, or more say I was helpless. I could do nothing against him or Inazumi.

Just as the pain became to unbearable to take, and I felt the life slipping from me, Inazumi appeared before me. Honoo seemed shocked, but his grip only tightened and the flames intensified.
Itami, this is no fun if you don't fight back. I shall give you one last piece of advice and then you're on your own. Embrace the fear and let it give you strength. Once embraced you will then have nothing to fear as you will become fear itself.
Inazumi then appeared behind Honoo and placed his hand upon his shoulder. Inazumi's expression had changed from a somewhat caring look to that of an unmerciful demon.
Honoo, show no mercy.

Honoo's bright fangs gleamed in the gloomy moonlight. My face showed the horror that I felt at both Inazumi's notion and Honoo's reaction to his last statement. I struggled harder, kicking at Honoo's hand and then face, trying to get free, needing to escape and live another day. Scared or not I couldn't die. I just couldn't die. With this thought in mind, a bright crackling sound emerged and black lightning covered my leg. It struck Honoo with a resounding twack. I was shocked at this, and Honoo, due to the shock of me using a power and the force behind it let go stunned and in pain as he grabbed his stinging jaw. I quickly scrambled to my feet and bolted through the graveyard, wincing as I limp ran on because of my injured leg.

I could barely believe what I had just done. I had hit and apparently hurt Honoo, but what was even more unbelievable was that I had used the power of my lightning to do it. I kept running, or hobbling was more like it. I thought that I wasn't being followed and that they had decided to just let me go, but how wrong was I. Inazumi appeared beside me, jogging lazily as though this was nothing more than a snail pace. He spun and sent a kick toward my gut. It connected and I was thrown back, flying through the air and unable to stop. I felt something hard behind me and a pair of hands grab my arms, holding me so that I couldn't escape.
So looks like you're just full of tricks huh. I don't know how you did that just know but I'll make sure you'll never be able to again.
I growled as I struggled against him, his laughter tearing through my feared being like a knife through butter.

Inazumi appeared in front of me. His face expressed his confusion and how I was able to use lightning. He seemed to ponder on this, and Honoo became agitated. Inazumi raised a hand to quiet him and seemed to come to a quick decision.
I don't know how you did it Itami, but we will make sure it won't happen again. Honoo hold him steady.
Honoo roared his approval, and I cowered back against him, but this only satisfied his taste. Inazumi's fanged showed as he began to rapidly punch me in my stomach. Each punch felt like the end as a mixture of spit and blood flew from my mouth. I couldn't breath for one bit, and I felt like I was about to black out at any second. They attacks were so fast that I could barely keep up with them. The speed at which he was attacking was faster than what I've seen him or me do before. I knew than that even thought I'd gotten weaker, they have most surely gotten stronger.

I felt my body go limp and I thought that Inazumi would never stop his endless assault. I grunted and coughed. I had to do something or else this would be the end. I gave a roar and lightning began to cover my entire body. For a moment Inazumi and Honoo were stunned by this. I used this to my advantage, and headbutted Honoo with the back of my head. He let go of me, and I gave a swift spin, kicking both Inazumi and Honoo in the head. I rushed off again, faster and faster and before I knew it, I was shunpoing. *What is going on?* I thought.

I continued shunpoing all around the graveyard, dodging the tombstones although I began to think they had something to do with my powers returning. I thought this because for one none of my other powers had returned except for my lightning manipulation and shunpo. Another thing is that I had crashed through 2 tombstones and each time I felt stronger than before. Coincident I think not. Determination etched my face as I came to a decision. I'd destroy every single tombstone here. I jumped and with a flip I brought my foot down onto another tombstone. I winced from the impact, but it broke through. Black energy outlined in red enveloped my body. The pain left me and I felt better, stronger.

As the energy dissipated, I heard a deep growl from both sides of me. Inazumi appeared on my right, and Honoo on my left. I glared at each of them, fear still inside of me as I knew I couldn't take them both on. I took a step back as they began to close the distance. I bit my lip desperately as I tried to figure out what to do. Inazumi was faster than me I knew and would easily catch me if I tried to shunpo away.
I can sense the fear in you Itami. It's time you came quietly. You've been lucky so far, but your luck has run out.
At his words I growled my defiance. I was about to rush forward, when I felt something inside of me. A pain crossed my body and I could feel it in the space where my arms should be. I grunted as my body glowed black. Inazumi and Honoo had stopped their slow walk toward me and started fascinated at what was transpiring before them.

I grunted in pain as I dropped to my knees. A black sphere had enveloped me. It was impenetrable and unable to be seen into. I felt something inside of me as my body fluctuated and my rei began to rise. Suddenly the sphere burst apart and there I stood, my arms returned and my determination back. I flexed my massive muscles and cracked my knuckles. It felt good to have my arms back and that was when I knew that my idea had worked. I glared at Inazumi and Honoo, horror momentarily seen on their faces.
Lets dance.

They both growled and shunpoed toward me. I dropped into a crouching stance before launching off and meeting them head on. My strikes were furious and I packed them with extra damage from the lightning. They were fast and I thought I was actually doing something to them. Suddenly I felt a punch to the face and was knocked back. Honoo appeared above me and let loose a jet of fire down upon me. I shunpoed behind him just before getting hit full on, but my skin was singed some.

I spun and sent my leg into Honoo's side. I allowed lightning to cover my leg to increase the power. As it neared, Honoo anticipated the attack and deflected it with his clawed hand. He slashed from right to left with his other hand before spinning and sending his clawed foot into my gut. I grunted as both attacks hit their marks. Blood formed from the slash wound as I staggered back to try and recollect my thoughts on a better way to attack. I didn't have long before I felt my legs leave from up under me. Inazumi was beside me and sent a strong elbow into my gut that brought me down to the ground with enough force to cause a crater underneath.

I grunted from the impact. Several tombstones had been crushed and the black energy outlined in red seeped from the remains of the rubble and enveloped my body. I growled as my wounds were healed and I quickly stood as I started upon them. They had dropped down to the ground, interested at what was coming up next. I hunched over as pain flooded my back. I growled and out popped my wings. They extended to their full length. My tail and claws then appeared next. I licked my lips maliciously as I stepped toward Inazumi and Honoo.
