Before I reached the ground, I stuck my hands out and landed on them. I did a backward handspring and got to my feet. My face was stinging, and my body hurt like crazy. I looked back up at Ragnarok. He stood in midair about 20 feet above me. His face was as grim as ever.

You're a powerful one. I don't know if I can beat him.
I don't know if it was what I said that set him off or what, but he suddenly appeared in front of me. He had thrown his arm back and sent a punch straight toward my face.

I was instantly thrown back. The impact of it sent me shooting over the flat mountain top. At the last moment, I sent my tail and dug it into the mountain. I then lifted myself up and grabbed a hold of it myself.

I tried to pull myself onto the mountain, but felt something on my hands. I looked up, and there was Ragnarok. His right foot was on my right hand. He was standing directly over me. His face forever grim.

He just stared at me. I looked into his eyes, but saw nothing but blackness. It was like a never ending vortex or black hole. There was no sign of any kind of emotion behind them.

I stared back at him. I tried struggling, but to no avail. He'd just stomp his foot on my hand which would cause pain to rip through it. His talons just added to the pain.

This really made me mad. I couldn't get up as he was standing on my hand. I felt really helpless at that moment.

I sighed and averted my eyes. I didn't want him to see me cry. I just couldn't do it. I couldn't beat him. I couldn't be this person that everybody wanted me to be. I was just a mindless dope who always wants to fight.

I then felt a hand grab me by my arm. I was lifted up high into the air. We went even higher and higher. Then he threw me toward the other side. I used my wings to stop myself and gain back momentum.

I raise my blade to fire off a Gengetsu Kuro. As I prepare the attack, Ragnarok appears before me and grabs my blade. He yanks it from my hand and throws it into the ground. The blade is buried up to the hilt.

I look at Ragnarok. My face was twisted in fear. It was the first time that I was actually scared. I tried to step back, but Ragnarok grabbed me by my neck. He threw me toward the ground, and I landed beside my sword.

Before I could get back up, Ragnarok foot appeared on my chest. I was frightened beyond belief. I had never felt this way before. I tried to get away. I pushed against his foot and everything, but to no avail.

Ragnarok then digs his talons into my chest and stomach. I stop squirming. The pain was unreal. He looks down at me. His face was nothing short of disgusted.

He says my name with a hint of an emotion buried deep within. I can't quite figure it out, but I know that there is 1 there.

I stare up into his expressionless eyes. They were black and unwavering. I couldn't tell what he was thinking or anything. I again tried to escape, but he just press his talons even deeper into my chest.

This seemed to make Ragnarok furious. He came down and punched me right in the face. His eyes spit out flames. His fangs barred and he was growling something serious.

Do you still not get it? I don't want to kill you. I want to better you. I want to make you the best that you can be. Secretly I want to protect you and give you all that you need to survive and win against all opponents and odds. Itami you are the very reason I exist.

It was then that I realized what it was that I was sensing in his voice. It was afraid. He was afraid of what would happen to me. He didn't want anything bad to come to me.

I felt his talons dig out of my skin. My chest was relieved of his foot. He grabbed me by my arm and hoisted me up. I looked at him. Tears formed in his eyes. I guess I now realized why he was so hard on me.

I looked straight at Ragnarok. I then went up to him and embraced him. It was something that I hadn't done for a long time.
I understand now. You will never have to worry about me again.

He seemed to accept this. Then he began to fade away.
