I arrive at the ugendo quarters and kneel outside the door. "You summoned me Ukitake taichio?" I bow and place my fist to the ground my other hand behind my back. I wonder what it is he wishes of me.

"Ah yes Honjo Minamoto, 3rd Seat correct?"
Ukitake coughs a few times into his right sleeve.
"Excuse me. Anyways I wanted to ask you how would you feel about being Lieutenant of this Squad?"
Ukitake asks with a smile.
"I am absent quite a lot and I need an official person to take charge of the Squad while I am absent."

My heart skips a beat. Lieutenant? ... no one has been lt since.. I bow. "I would be Honored Ukitake-sama. I will not fail you."

Ukitake gives a big smile before he coughs.
"I have faith in you."
Ukitake stands up, a lil wobbly at first but regains balance and walks over to Honjo and hands him a Lieutenant badge.
"Congratulation Lieutenant Minamoto."

Bows. "I will not Fail you." I carefully take the lt badge and bow once more. "Thank you Ukitake Sama."

Ukitake turns around and walks back to his desk to fill in some paper work.
