Tachi had eaten- Pretending everything was normal when it wasn't was tiring. He hadn't even needed to use the card Ajiro gave him. There was just food lying around everywhere. The places, everywhere, seemed abandoned- He hadn't really seen another shinigami in a while, it seemed like. And now that he thought about it, it was true. Where was everybody? Tachi ended up straying back to the squad 12 barracks, confused about what could be going on. Had they found out about Rizu and Itami's deaths? Were they holding some funeral? Surely Tachi would have been notified.

He heard a noise behind him and turned swiftly. The was a large man, in white clothing, running at him and yelling. He had bloodstains on his hands and his grin was psychotic. As the man neared he lunged at Tachi and Tachi grinned back, matching the insanity. He kicked off of the ground quickly and flickered, appearing behind the man. Tachi of course knew no idea what was going on, but if this guy wanted to die, it was his choice. Tachi giggled and drew his zanpakuto. "Shock and Shatter, Calm and Collect. Daze them, Houritsu-no-Kagyakuai.~" Tachi sang his zanpakuto's named and it glowed, shifting into the form of his shikai.

Tachi burst into giggles and looked at the man directly as he turned and stood shocked at Tachi's shikai, feeling Tachi's reiatsu and wondering what he could do now. Deciding to just kill him quickly, the man ran at him again. Tachi rolled his eyes and smiled sweetly. "You get to be the first I kill with this power.~ Tachi laughed and lunged at the man, stabbing his shikai directly through the mans heart. He coughed and fell to the ground, blood beginning to spill from the wound and the man screaming.

Tachi fired off a few "bullets" at the mans head, just to make sure he would be dead, and laughed. "You could have been more fun than that, you know.. Disappointment~" Tachi sang, kicking the now headless body.

Tachi turned to leave, but was met with some more unexpected visitors. Two more guys dressed in white, and a girl in white with them this time, ran out around the corner and stopped abruptly as they saw Tachi. They took note of the body and the blood on Tachi from the guy, and the girl stepped forward. Her zanpakuto was in the shape of an axe, the basic kind you could use to shot wood. "You.. Were you an inmate too?" She was smarter than the first guy, Tachi thought. So he took a step forward to match hers and let Houritsu-no-Kagyakuai hang lazily at his side.

"Once upon a time, there was a boy." He started with a giggle, his voice raised. She took a step back, confused, and the two men behind her stepped forward. "What are you going at!" The one on the left questioned. Tachi continued with his story anyways.

"There once was a boy, who lived in a pasture,
A bored little shepherd, wishing life would go faster.
So he played games all day and night in the field.
I watched and knew his fate was sealed.
I would wait for awhile, unseen in a bush,
Planning the next meal for me, a humble wolf.
So watched and waited, waited and watched.
I learned the boy's patterns. I made my plot.
On the chosen day, I sat in my spot.
I licked my lips, reviewing my plot.
Then the boy turned his back, and I took a sheep.
He saw it was missing and started to weep.
"Oh no! Oh dear! A sheep isn't here.
Now the Farmer will beat me, my worst fear."
I chuckled to myself and made the sheep bleat
He heard it right away and came in a beat.
The boy came to the woods and looked around,
But wherever he looked, the sheep couldn't be found.
He came further in, falling for the plan,
But just a moment too soon, he saw me and ran.
He ran and ran all the way home.
He ran past the sheep and left them to roam.
He ran to the farmer and he started crying.
The farmer sent him back and told him, "No whining."
So, with his head down, to the field he went back.
And tended the flock, minus one little snack.
I took my place again,
And I waited and watched until I heard men.
They were the men of the town football team,
Coming, all muddy, from the town football green.
Then I showed my face to the poor little lad.
And he started to cry with all the wind he had:
"Wolf! Wolf! Right there in the bush!
He's gonna come out and eat my little tush!"
And all the men came to look and search,
But no one saw me up in my perch.
For I was hidden, way up in a tree,
Just as agile as any wolf can be.
The men went away shaking their heads,
And the little boy stayed, his face bright red.
I came out from my spot, one last time,
And I strolled up behind
The confused little lad,
Changing each moment from embarrassed to mad.
The boy turned around and saw me again,
And then he yelled way down to the men:
"He's back! He's back! He's come back again!
Help me! Save me! Big football men?"
No one will listen to you.
No one will come.
Now I have one choice:
Rare or well-done?"

The three released inmates stood shocked, the two men stumbling backwards and falling on the ground as they tried to run. Tachi burst out laughing as one threw up a weak Danku in front of them. The girls neck was snapping between him and the guys behind them, confused on what to do next. She turned back to Tachi full force, running around the Danku and then shunpo'ing at him with her axe ready to chop down at him. "WE JUST WANTED TO BE FREE!"

Tachi brought his shikai up to clash with the axe, being forced to stagger back a little. They went into a sword fight then, Tachi barely keeping her from hacking his limbs off. "My shikai has the power to increase my strength when I'm coming at the opponent with the intent to kill." She said, darkly. Tachi laughed and was obviously enjoyed himself, using both hands and taking steps back when it got too close to call. He began to huff, his breathing becoming harder as he found it harder to keep up with her. "We just wanted to be free..." She whispered, bringing her axe in one final blow to cut Tachi's head off. He sighed and his outline shimmered with blue, releasing the two meter sphere that would freeze her in the act. He quickly took a step back so when she resumed it wouldn't get him, and pointed his shikai at her head. His heart beat again and he was gasping loudly as she swung the axe at nothingness, looking at Tachi and seeing his shikai straight in her face.

"You can be free, honey.." He started, sweetly. He was smiling at her and she started to smile as well, to match his. There was hope for her after a- Tachi shot then, breaking her skull in one shot, the body staggering and falling backwards. Tachi grinned, breathing heavily.

"Now you can be free forever. <3" And he laughed.

It took a moment before Tachi was hit in the shoulder by an oddly potent Shakkahou. He yelled out and staggered backwards, his hand not holding his shikai flying up and placed against the large burn. His eyes flew up and he found where the attack had come from, the one that hadn't thrown up the Danku. *Two Kido users?* He thought. Even in this mental state, Tachi could note that was bad for him. His powers didn't work on inanimate objects, such as Kido. Despite this, he burst out laughing, his breathing still labored and his shoulder smoking.

"That wasn't very nice. Not nice at all. You shouldn't hurt people.." He slumped forward, the shoulder that was burned staying high in the air and him grinning twistedly at the two men. "You should apologize.~" They stayed hidden behind their Danku, and the man who had shot the Shakkahou looked at him with wide, scared eyes. "W-what the hell are you talking about?! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU?!" Tachi smiled widely and kicked off of the ground, shunpo'ing in front of the Danku. He appeared gracefully and blasted the Danku until it disappeared after a few shots, turning his gaze back to the two.

The one who had made the Danku scrambled back and shot a rope-like Bakudo at Tachi. Tachi growled as it went around him, causing him to stumble. He shifted his gaze back at the man and his clouded over and then formed his symbol. "Release this and hold your hands up." Tachi ordered. The man looked at him and started to shake, the Bakudo fading and disappearing, and the man trembling as he raised his hands up. "Wh-what?! What are you doing to me?!" The other inmate had no choice but to sit back, scared, forgetting to attack. The man Tachi was controlling was terrified over what was happening. Tachi raised his shikai and pointed it over the mans chest. "Oh, just having a little fun, you know. Let's play a little game. I'm the cop, and you're the robber. Oh! And look. I just caught you." He giggled psychotically as shot multiple times into the mans chest. "Bang bang. I win." The man screamed as he fell back, dying a few seconds later.

A second scream was heard from the other man, him staggering backwards as he pointed his palm at Tachi. He shot a Soren-Sokatsui and Tachi shrieked as he was blasted backwards. He hit a building and slumped against it. The man walked towards him, hesitantly, and came directly in front of Tachi's body. He held his hand up to Tachi's head and readied to finish him with a kido the way he had finished the girl inmate. Tachi's head snapped up then, his vision hazy and his body obviously torn up. He barely had any power left to fight- He had been damaged and tired quite a bit during this fight.

The seal in his eye was still active and he looked directly into the mans. "Tell me where all of you came from, and what you're doing." His words were influenced and it seemed as if the man was shocked by it. You could tell he was struggling against the power, but that moment of surprise took him. "Maggots nest.. Released.. Freedom.. Revenge..." Tachi seemed interested by this and grinned wickedly. *The maggots nest, huh? I've heard about that.. Heeheehee.." Tachi's outline shimmered with blue and his suspension took effect, stopping his heart and causing him to gasp loudly as he lifted his shikai up to the mans jaw. It took only two seconds before his power was released, the strain too great on him at the moment. The man took a step back in shock as Tachi's shikai was pointed at him as if out of no where, and he barely had two more seconds before Tachi shot, ending his life.

Another body now lay on the ground as Tachi stood, weakly. His shikai reverted to it's unsealed state and he sheathed it as he stumbled into the barracks.

Tachi fell on his bed, blood splattered on his clothes from the four people he had just killed. He was tired, to say the least. He wouldn't be able to fight anyone anytime soon, at least not for the rest of the day, and that mad him genuinely sad. It was fun, seeing them die. Seeing their bodies hit the ground and hearing their heartbeat make no noise. He enjoyed it, immensely. Tachi smiled and held up his hand in front of him, studying it. He could hear other shinigami near by- So it seemed not everyone had disappeared, killed off by or fighting the inmates.

As Ajiro had promised, Honjo's haori was laying on his bed next to him. He picked it up and pulled himself up into a sitting position, analyzing it. He wanted to scream, he wanted to cry, he wanted to kill. None of which he had the energy for right now. He was just so damn tired, physically and emotionally. Standing up with the haori, Tachi heard a shinigami nearing his door, and opened it. His hand landed on his zanpakuto's hilt as the male shinigami spotted him, stuttering slightly at the view of the blood and the haori. Houritsu-no-Kagyakuai glowed briefly and the seal of obedience appeared in Tachi's right eye as he stared at the shinigami.

"Fit this for me and forget you ever saw me. Edit it and make it something you deem worthy for my tastes. Leave it at my door when you're done and never speak of this moment." The man immediately froze and then nodded like a puppet on strings as Tachi threw the haori at him and he caught it. The man left quickly and Tachi smirked, laying back down on the bed. The seal disappeared as he closed his eyes and drifted off...

A few hours later

.. Tachi was startled awake as he heard a swift knock on his door. He jumped up and drew his zanpakuto out of nerves, before realizing no one was there and sheathing it again. He walked to the door and flung it open. There, at the foot of his door, lay Honjo's old haori. However, it had changed dramatically. The colors were swapped- The white parts had been dyed black and the black parts had been bleached white. The sleeves were cut off and it had obviously been cut shorter to accommodate Tachi's smaller frame. He picked it up and then slipped it on, liking how snugly it fit. His eyes flashed in brief enjoyment as he took a few steps in it, looking like a child trying out new shoes. He grinned and walked out- If anyone had any objections to this new look, he was so hoping for them to speak so.
