A Reintroduction

Reito kaen! *Rizu bursts into flames and jumps into the air with a rapid spin, creating a barrier of flames around her and deflecting the majority of the arrows, a few scraping by her legs and sides. She drops back to the ground in a kneel and draws a yellow triangle with her two forefingers, connecting 3 beams of kido energy.* Bakudo #30...shitotsu sansen. *As she speaks, the 3 beams hurtle towards Fukaku in order to pin him.*

"Maho Teishi!" Fukaku says, quickly reacting to the bakudo. Breaking open the capsule between his fingers, the rushed shield cracked as the bakudo hit, but held. "Spinnenentz." Fukaku likewise said, breaking another capsule open, creating thick weblike cords which attempted to bind Rizu in their grasp.,moving towards her with some speed. meanwhile, Fukaku moved farther away with hirenkyaku, before readying another black charge of energy. "Shumatsu taiho!" Fukaku yells, firing the blast at Rizu. Freezing all it touched, it headed towards Rizu quickly.

*Taking a deep breath, Rizu thrusts her arms forward, sending a wide blast of the freezing flames towards the webs and the icy blast. Stopping the webs, she managed to divert some of the blast with her own and jumps to the far left, the blast grazing her right arm, freezing her forearm over. Cradling her arm, she rolls to the ground and grunts.* D-dammit...

Fukaku stops, as another pillar rips free of the earth, before miniaturizing again, into a spear shape. dissipating his bow momentarily, he takes hold of the black spear, spinning it in his hands before taking a firm hold of it. "Let's finish this, Yukino-san." Fukaku says, holding the spear in his off hand as he shifts into a defensive stance, holding his spear back. "Don't hold back."

*Rizu places her hand over her frozen arm and emits a burst of reiatsu, shattering the ice, though her arm remains numb. She slowly stands up and faces Fukaku, nodding slowly. She places her hand over the scar on her chest and closes her eyes.* -Hisame...- She opens her eyes and begins to glow white once more. Her freezing flames still in effect, she whispers quietly.* Reito-en no hane. *As she speaks, two claw-like blades of white fire form on her left hand, her right arm still limp at her side. She shunpos inches in front of Fukaku and slashes rapidly towards his chest then punches sharply towards his gut.*

Fukaku was surprised at the intensity of the attacks still coming from the woman now standing before him. He stops the claw attack with his spear, Initially able to push back Rizu's claw before he sees the punch. Instinctively blocking it away with one hand, he's pushed back by the other.

*Panting, she runs forward and shunpos behind Fukaku, slashing her claw horizontally towards his lower back. At the same time, Rizu attempts to hook her ankle around his with the intention of tripping him.*

Fukaku feels the shunpo as it happens, and steps a few feetaway from Rizu, before turning to give a vicious thrust at her with his spear. "phew, she almost hit my-" Fukaku is mentally cut off as he feels searing pain near his back. a small amount of blood comes from the scratch Rizu managed to leave. A small wince being the only sign of his pain, he keeps on going, pretending as though uninjured. The wound keeps bleeding, however, and from the center of his back rather than lower still. "Damnit, Koga..." Fukaku curses, thinking of the only cause he could think of that could have accounted for his weakness.

*Staggering slightly, Rizu jumps up and over Fukaku, landing directly in front of him and slashes sharply but shallowly towards his chest. Following through, she punches her right hand towards his solarplexus.*

Fukaku narrowly dodges Rizu's slash, returning it with a slash of his blunt but still heavy spear-
Except Fukaku finds he can no longer move one of his arms. Surprised by this fact, he doesn't react in time to stop Rizu's next punch, as his wound worsens, his back caked with blood, and seeming as though heavily cut. Striking out clumsily with his spear, he attempts to stab Rizu, before finding his leg no longer obeys him either. "What?" The surprised Fukaku utters.

*Rizu dodges the clumsy attempt and staggers slightly, panting under her breath.* It seems you're having trouble, Nayamasa-san... *She takes a step forward, retracting the claws on her left hand. As soon as she does, she launches herself towards him, spinning a kick towards his lower right side.*

"n...not at all." Fukaku hastily dismisses, trying to keep from panicking. "Relax, you can use ransotengai. Just focus...". "Ransotengai." Fukaku says softly, cords of white energy appearing around his limb. Just in time, as well, for, with the aid of Hirenkyaku, Fukaku blocks the kick with his spear, stopping the strike. "my speed's increased, but without the full of my strength... I don't have as much strength." Fukaku thinks, quickly jabbing thrice at Rizu's stomach. as he does so, he has to readjust ransotengai, as another leg begins to go numb.

*Rizu spins herself to the left of the jabs, the first one grazing her right side as she lands back on the ground in a kneel. She remains kneeling, her eyes hidden by her hair. Her left hand glows white as she punches the ground, sending a wave of broken rock and ice hurtling in a wave towards Fukaku.*

As Rizu punches the ground, Fukaku pushes his spear into the earth, using it to gain leverage, as he jumps over the shower of rocks, getting a small nick to the leg and nothing else, before returning to the ground, slamming down before coming in with a slash with the tip of the spear, a quick move, but shallow even if it did hit. pulling back the spear immediately after, he stepped forward as he stabbed at Rizu again, letting it slide from his back hand and gain the maximum reach. as he did this, a black charge of energy again appeared on his off hand

*Rizu dodges the first slash from Fukaku's spear narrowly, leaning backwards to lay flat against the ground and rolling off to the right quickly to avoid the stab. She sits up quickly and holds both hands out palm-forward at Fukaku.* Hado #63, Raikoho! *A large wave of yellow energy blasts from her hands, headed towards him at full speed, knocking Rizu back once more.*

"Heh." Fukaku smiles, but makes no attempt to move, instead pulling the spear back into his reformed bow, as though to shoot it. Before the lightning blast reaches Fukaku, he fires the spear, the spear seeming to consume the kido as it grew to twice it's original size. heading on a steady trajectory for Rizu, the spear kept going. "I told you kido wasn't wise, Yukino-san." Fukaku says, before firing more regular arrows of his own at Rizu.

*Rizu's eyes widen as she sees the spear consume her kido and grow. She scrambles to a kneel and shunpos as she kicks off with her left leg, narrowly missing the large spear. She remains where she ends her shunpo, her right arm bleeding; she had failed to dodge one of the arrows entirely. Given the damage done to her right arm over the course of the fight, it was virtually useless at that point.* Heh...you did indeed warn me, Nayamasa-san. Forgive me for ignoring your words.

*As she finishes speaking, she closes her eyes a moment, working up all the reiatsu she can.* -This is all you've got left...make it count...- She whispers quietly, hardly loud enough for anyone else to hear.* Shun..ko. *She bursts with white reiatsu around her, blowing her hair back. Immediately, she shunpos directly in front of Fukaku, sending a violent punch towards his stomach with her left hand.*

Fukaku notes the damage she's already taken, thinking for a brief moment that Rizu would finally yield at this point, before he feels a gathering of reiatsu from her. "Another kido?" Fukaku wondered, as he felt her reishi spike. "Wh... What?" Fukaku blurted, amazed as Rizu's frame is filled with white reiatsu all around her. Not even able to truly react, Fukaku steps back, but is unable to dodge Rizu's strike, and is knocked far away, striking the ground several times before regaining his footing, and stopping his momentum. "I've... never seen this technique before..."

*Panting, Rizu drops to her knees and struggles to keep herself up, her eyes intently on Fukaku.* -That was it...your last shot. You've hit your limit.- *Refusing to fall in front of him, she holds herself up with her left hand as her white kimono now returns to her shihakusho and haori, her zanpakuto slung on her back once more.*

Fukaku got up unsteadily, the pain in his back worse than ever. The back of his quincy clothes had changed from black to blood red in color, and Fukaku knew that wasn't due to him falling in red paint. Attempting to raise his bow hand, he found he couldn't. Ransotengai had worn off, and he felt his own mortality's limits were strained themselves. His stomach hurt, his back hurt, it seemed everything hurt. beginning to fall, he fought himself at every opportunity. "Not again... I won't fall again... in front of a shinigami..." Fukaku thought.
Slumping, and sitting on his legs, it said something about Fukaku's determination that he refused to fall, even after he lost consciousness.

*Watching as Fukaku loses consciousness, she takes a breath and winces as she crawls over to him, reaching into her shihakusho and pulling out her regeneration serum. Rizu steadies her left hand and carefully injects a good deal of the serum into Fukaku's arm. As soon as she's done, she attempts to inject herself but drops the syringe.* Hah...o-of course. *Picking it up again, she is unable to steady her hand once more, sighing and retracting the needle as she puts it back in her shihakusho before falling.*

Fukaku wakes up, much later, blearily opening his eye as day has again come. "mmmmmm... is Yukino-san still here?" Fukaku asked, not really expecting an answer. Fukaku deduced that it had been twenty four hours since he had fallen asleep, given his own excellent sense of time. Standing up, he felt his wounds were healed - even his spine. "This is... Regeneration serum." Fukaku muttered, thinking of the last time he was treated with such. Looking around, he noted his pillars had long since dissipated. "But where is Yukino?" Fukaku asked himself.

*Rizu hardly remembered what she had done after healing Fukaku. From the feel of it, she had collapsed; from the closeness of his aura, right beside him. She heard a voice close by referring to her and her right arm twitched in response, sending a shooting pain through her as she groanssoftly from the pain.*

Fukaku Finally noticed Rizu, his spirit sensing abilities coming back as he came back to consciousness again. "Yukino-san..." Fukaku said quietly, noting that neither her reishi nor her injuries were healed. moving towards her, he took out a capsule, and quickly noted that her right arm was troubling her the most. "Heilenden Treffen..." Fukaku quietly said, pouring a silvery liquid on Rizu's right arm gently as he kneeled down, the liquid healing whatever it touched. "Is there anything else I can do for you, Yukino-san?"

*Rizu lifts her head a bit and looks up at Fukaku, chuckling weakly.* Thank you, Nayamasa-san. I'm sorry that you had to use your own supplies to heal me. *She smiles, slowly sitting herself up now that her arm was in better shape.* I've been right to respect your strength. You've exceeded any expectation I had. Thank you for that.
