"No i recall him bragging about a personal lab within his office as to where and how to get to it i am not sure." I frown" most i can assume is it would be reishi related as each is unique and would make for excelent security protocal." i nod" no doubt he has a lab in the living world but i would have no ideal where to begin he would be smarter than to place it in japan to obvious and to close to shinigami monitoring should somthing like this occure. As for the lab here perhaps the explosion may have jared the security system in that case the only added detail is locating the way too it i assume its hidden in his office but i could nto telll you where he is very clever, koga."

Kyousuke's eyes squinted in thought. They still didn't have much to go on, but it was still better than nothing. His thoughts raced in his head as he wondered where Koga may have gone, and what he might be chasing.

"Perhaps someone inside the Barracks would know about this secret lab," suggested Kyousuke thoughtfully, "I'll do some asking around and see what I can learn."

*Rizu nods slowly once more, glancing over at Kyousuke.* Good idea...though I can't imagine anyone would know more than either you or I. *She sighs, scratching the back of her head anxiously.* I should have paid more attention.

I nod. "I will inspect the remains of his captains quarters."I stand up and walk past you both "Good luck my children"

Kyousuke suddenly found himself frozen in place. A stunned, speechless expression on his face. Did he just hear that right? Did Captain Minamoto just refer to him as a child? Did he refer to him as his child? Was it meant as something personal, or was it merely a term used in contrast to his power and experience?

Kyousuke's eyes followed him as he passed, before he cast one last glance to his new Captain, Rizu, gauging her reaction before he finally found mobility in himself and turned to follow her father outside, into the evening background.

*Rizu blinks and blushes slightly at her father's words, taking a moment before running past Kyousuke and hugging Honjo from behind.* I love you, papa. *She lets go slowly turning a brighter shade of red at her outburst, surprising even herself. She lowers her eyes and turns her head slightly, anxiously tracing the scar on her chest as she mutters.* Just...don't think I say it enough.

I smile warmly and pick you up like i used to when you were younger. "I Love you to Rizuka" I kiss your forehead and set you down. I hug you close.

Kyousuke was suddenly hit with a strong breeze as Rizu zipped past him and slammed into her father with open arms. The moment of confusion brought him to a halt, and he looked on as her father, the legendary Captain of Squad 13, took her easily into his own arms and held her with strong passion.

Kyousuke wasn't familiar with such emotions, such displays of emphatic affection. The moment started to make him uncomfortable, so he decided to press on without them and exited the building. The evening air was cool that night; much cooler than what it had been the past few years. It was a welcomed change - very soothing. He slowly inhaled the air, drawing it into his spirit before exhaling with a hushed breath. The backdrop of the Seireitei was beautiful; painted in a sea of dark, dim color, yet he could not enjoy it.

Turning away, Kyousuke began following his feet across the bridge dividing one squad from the other.

'Rizu admires her father dearly. She longs to be like him; strong, charismatic, intelligent, powerful. Just like Koga was.' He thought to himself, blankly looking at his toes, 'In many ways she is. Her powers have grown far beyond mine. She shares their spirit. She will become a great Captain; revered, respected, treasured, remembered.' He paused for a minute after making it half-way across the bridge and raised his head up a bit further from looking at his feet, 'What will become of me?' He wondered, 'Am I a leader; will my powers ever be recognized; will my name carry on into the next generation? Where does my path lead? Stars of the night, I cannot see you, so I cannot follow you.'

*Rizu smiles softly as her father hugs her, almost feeling like a kid again in his arms. As she releases the embrace, she looks ahead as Kyousuke exits outside. She squeezes her father's hand before continuing on ahead to catch up with him.* Kyou-kun?

Hearing a voice interrupt his thoughts, Kyousuke turned a glance back over his shoulder, where he saw Rizu calling after him. In truth, he wanted to be alone for a while with his thoughts.

'I guess that'll have to wait.'

Finally, he turned about to face his superior, "What is it, Captain?"

*Rizu tilts her head as she studies Kyousuke's expression, sensing a slight unease in his aura. She grins and gently claps her hand on his shoulder.* I told you my papa would like you.

"Yes," he replied softly, "He's a very generous man, and his powers are even more impressive. Now I know understand where your strength and character comes from." His eyes shifted over to her hand which rested candidly against his shoulder, "Erm...Captain, shouldn't we be trying to find Koga's secret lab?"

*Rizu smiles softly, retracting her hand slowly as she nods.* Yes, we should...I have a suspicion as to where we might be able to find it. *She frowns as she recalls her Lieutenant's test and the secret room Koga asked her to enter.* It's just a matter of getting in.

"We'll just have to figure something out," he said, "For now, let's just take it one step at a time." With that, he stepped aside and extended his arm out toward the remaining distance of the bridge, "Lead on, Captain."

*Rizu nods once more and begins walking slowly onwards, mumbling quietly to herself.* Knowing Koga, he probably closed up the entrance...what are you hiding from us...tai..cho...

As intended, he let Rizu pass in front of him before casting one last glance to her father. He stared at him for an instant before finally turning to follow his new Captain.

As he strolled behind her, he gazed up into the sky, sensing a powerful energy in the air that didn't belong to anyone he knew in the Soul Society.

*Rizu's stomach churns as the energy in the air changes and she slows down a bit and glances over her shoulder.* Do you feel that, Kyou-kun?

Dropping his eyes back down to the Captain, he nods his head affirmatively, but doesn't say anything. Kyousuke had only felt this spiritual pressure once, but he knew there was only one being that could posses such power.

He slowly turned his eyes back, noticing the swords strapped behind his back glowing with a dark violet aura...

*Rizu stops and turns around to face Kyousuke, tilting her head curiously.* Kyou-kun... *She takes a few steps towards him, standing in front of him and studying him and the energy seemingly coming from him.*

The air was thick with unworldly anger as the spiritual energies resonating from his seemed to devour the the oxygen in the atmosphere. Burakkuhoru was quickly running out of patience...

Reaching behind him, Kyousuke gently wrapped his hand around the grip. Immediately, the blades unleashed a small storm of electricity to attack his hand. The pain was intense, but not unbearable for him as he closed his eyes and focused. Finally, after a few moments, the spirituakl pressure began to fade, and the dark, ominous fires burning around his swords died away and grew silent again.

He heard his zanpakuto's voice when he touched it. He knew what it wanted from him. However, still determined to finish the investigation involving Koga, he bargained for a little more time.

Kyousuke then finally opened his eyes to the Captain, noticing the look upon her angelic features, "It's nothing, Captain. Let's proceed," he insisted as he walked past her...

*Rizu quickly grabs Kyousuke's arm as he passes her and glances over her shoulder at him.* That was not nothing. What just happened between you and your zanpakuto, Kyou-kun?

Stopped in his tracks by her grip, Kyousuke held his tongue trying to think of the best way to describe it to her. He already knew that such energies would have been felt across the Seireitei, and he would likely need to explain sooner or later, "An arguement is all," he answered to the Captain, hoping to satisfy her curiosity. "I'll deal with it later," he added, refusing to look at her. He didn't want her to see the fate that was chasing him in them.

'I'm almost out of time.'

*Rizu's grip on Kyousuke's arm remains as she looks up at him, speaking softly.* Kyou-kun...you are becoming very powerful. We've all noticed this and I'm sure you have as well. You are becoming an asset to the Gotei 13 very, very quickly. If there is something going on that you need to deal with...please tell me.

"Rizu," Kyousuke began quietly, "Do you remember a few years ago, when I told you about how my zanpakuto came to exist?"

*Tilting her head as she listens, Rizu hums thoughtfully under her breath and slightly loosens her grip, though her hand remains.* Hmm. Yes, Kyou-kun. I do...
