Town of saints

Tsubasa walked through the city streets of the town, as people passed by, not aknowledging his existence in any manner. Most shinigami preferred to keep to the rooftops, away from other people, but Tsubasa preferred walking on the street. It let him pretend, at least for a moment, that life was as peaceful as it used to be, that he was again an ordinary citizen of an ordinary town... That the blood of many were on his hands. Tsubasa sighed, as he kept walking, thinking that he might as well get his gigai if he was to continue walking like this.

I walk through the streets.
As I walk I see a shinigami walking on the streets.
"Well isn't that interesting."
I continue to walk but I walk in front of the shinigami and step tot h side slightly and bump our shoulders together.

"I never wanted to fight in my lifetime. All I wanted was to bring peace to the world, and now, it seems it's my role to continue a war started long ago. Tsubasa thought to himself, a solemn expression on your face.
"Oh Lighten up! Don't act so serious all the time. It gives me a headache. Now get me some bagels! It's bagel day, after all." another voice in his head seemed to say, that of a young boy.
"You're a zanpakuto spirit. You can't eat bagels. and there's no such thing as bagel day." Tsubasa mentally answered, smirking in spite of themselves.
"Killjoy! Now I don't-" The voice was interrupted as Tsubasa walked right into toshi's shoulder, his inattentiveness causing him to stumble, and fall off the curb, into nearby traffic.
"Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no." Tsubasa says, seeing a car heading towards him. He manages to get back up and move just out of the way of the toyota as it came towards him.
"I need to watch where I'm going." He says to himself.

I see the shinigami fall off the curb and I begin to laugh silently.
"What a clumsy shinigami."
I think to myself.

Picking himself up, Tsubasa gets back onto the sidewalk, and continues walking, a little more careful this time.
"now that's what I call slapstick comedy! couldn't have been more classic if you slipped on a banana peel. which reminds me, buy some bananas." the voice in his head said.
"For the last time, you can't eat!"
"well, maybe I just wanted to make a hat, or...? Hey. Who was that guy who bumped you. I think he might have been able to see you."
"Look, I have no time for your delusions. let's just get going." Tsubasa said, ending the mental conversation as he continued walking.

I reach into my front right pocket and pull out the pack of gum.
I grab a piece and toss it at the shinigami's head,the piece darting past many human heads,before tossing it of course i sent a small frequency into the piece of gum.
He grabs another piece and put it in his mouth and begins to chew.

Tsubasa keeps walking, unaware of the gum before it hits him.
"We're under attack! Get ready!" The voice says. "bring up the port cannons and return fire!"
Tsubasa just shakes his head and continues walking, unaware of anything that might happen to him.

I grin before I speak.
"Boom"
The gum just beginign to fall to the ground explodes with he same force of an M67 grenade.
I continue walking,ignoring the explosion.
A few men and women knocked away from the blast.

Seeing the explosion, Tsubasa instinctively looks to the bystanders nearby, seeing one get literally catapulted by the blast, as he himself is knocked off his feet. getting up as fast as he can, he uses shunpo to his best ability to narrowly stop the unfortunate citizen from a hard hit on the pavement. "It's alright, you're gonna be fine." Tsubasa said, knowing that what he said would go unheard. none among the living could hear him, after all. He'd taken some damage from the blast, however, and only his adrenaline surge was allowing him to ignore it. "That... wasn't an ordinary explosion." He says, panting, as he looks around for the source of the attack.

I put the pack of gum away and pull out a deck of cards from my back left pocket with my left hand.
I shuffle the deck and with each new card hitting the top of the deck I release another low frequency into each card,keeping track of which card is which,been doing this for awhile.
"Now that was exciting."
I think to myself as I continue to walk,hearing sirens from all around coming.

Tsubasa shakes his head, as he finishes helping people. many were injured, but, either due to his intervention or blind luck, they all survived. Tsubasa frowned, as he attempted to sense the reishi of people nearby, concentrating hard enough to be able to manage it. He'd never been exactly at the top of his class in sensing ability, but he could do it easily enough. "Reishi... but... not hollow... and not shinigami, either... It doesn't even feel like a quincies reishi. "What in the name of..." And then an idea struck Tsubasa. perhaps this was a human with special powers. He'd heard humans could occasionally learn to use and manipulate reiatsu to a small extent. Perhaps this was a human who, by accident, had tried to use a newfound power, only to lose control and cause the explosion.
After all, who in their right minds would do this on purpose?
"Hey! Wait up!" Tsubasa says as he walks closer to the person he had sensed earlier. He hoped he could at least see him, this other man, and hear him. that way, maybe he could help him with his problem.

I continue to walk,hearing the shinigami behind me but ignoring him completely,as if i was a clueless highschooler.
I continues to shuffle the deck until each card was marked with the low frequency.
The police,firetruck and a few ambulances pull up,as well as a swat team.
"So much police force for a tiny explosion...how sad."
I think to myself.

"Oh crap, you can't hear me, can you?" Tsubasa says, following him. "Well, I should at least follow you and find out more about you... and maybe stop any other explosions you make from hurting other people." Tsubasa says, entirely unaware that Toshi could hear him. "Good, they made it in time." Tsubasa says, breathing a sigh of relief as he saw the ambulances pull up. "Thank god."

I smile,pulling one card from the top and licking the surface.
I quickly turn around,stick it to the man's face and use my Bringer's Light to moved over the ambulances for a brief second and toss down 47 cards down at all the cars,each card landing below the vehicles.
I throw the rest at nearby camera to cover the screen beforehand.
I quickly use it again and end up on another street.
"Boom."
All 50 cards explode.

Tsubasa narrowly dodges the card, moving backwards, out of pure reflex, but still ends up getting hit a little bit by the blast, his forehead now bleeding.
"Oh gods... no!" Tsubasa says, his mouth carrying a horrified expression as he sees what the cards have done to the ambulances and the nearby street. His reflexes were such that he managed to see Toshi's bringer light, though it caught him by surprise, but he was helpless to stop it. "That's it. I will need to perform Konso on those spirits later, but for now, it's more important to make certain that, conscious of it or not, that that kid is restrained." Tsubasa says. "Bakudo number four! Hainawa! Tsubasa says, sending an energy tendril at Toshi, which attempted to wrap around him. "and just to make sure... "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudo number 9! Geki!" Tsubasa says, trying to cast the red paralyzing light onto Toshi.

The cars that exploded fling in front of me blocks both the kidous.
"I forgot shinigami had that power. I should pay more attention to the group next time."
I think to myself.
I put on my hood and begin to blend in with the crowd,a trick I picked up to be able to hide after blowing up areas.

Tsubasa continued on, using his ability to sense energy, to follow from a distance. "Damn..." He swore, more at himself. After gaining so much power, he still seemed unable to protect people. He needed to try his best though. It was his job. biting back his own worries, he went after toshi in the crowd, pushing people out of his way where it was necessary.

I continued to walk.
"How sad.This shinigami thinks he can follow me."
As I walk I release a low frequency into the gerund from my feet.
As The shinigami comes near the area I speak.
"Boom."
A few pedestrians all blown away,yet none killed, amazingly no one has yet to be killed.

Tsubasa feels the ground explode under his feet, and jumps away, keeping to the air now, as he realizes his own foolishness. He looks back to see the status of the civilians, and sees none are killed, but does not dwell on it. The important thing is to stop the source of the bombings. Using his sensing, he gets quite close to toshi, and after a second to make sure it is him, uses a wordless incantation to create an admittedly weak sai binding on him.
